In the last decade Google, now a household name, has gone from merely a search engine to an internet superstar. Once only for finding new and interesting sites on the web, they now have their hands in seemingly everything, from blogging to today cellphones. Google even has been buying up companies such as On2 [link] and making some (if not all) of their software open source.
All of this sounds great, but whats the catch. Is there some price were going to have to pay? Seemingly there is no ulterior motive by the big G, they make all their money off of their ads. In the end Google seems like a friend to all of us internet goers. Only time will tell what Google plans are, but I for one welcome our new Android Overlords.

Hmm, well, surely since G is taking over so much, they've got plans. Although what they are as of yet is still unknown, they may become like Skynet and try to take over the world, oh wait, they are taking over the world, one bit at a time.
Well since the big "G" saves all typed in information, such as the searches typed in by the public. from this we can either deduct that G is simply trying to make things easy for its human counterpart. or... that its slowly flooding over everything. until its the only source left for pretty much anything. which ever the outcome. I for one could not change the inevitable, I will stand along G and continue to use it, for its just that much of a need even for me.
Frick Yeah Google! Lol. Google is teh win. I still wanna have ad subsidized houses, vehicles, & clothing from then. If everything was controlled by unintrusive ads think of how awesome everything would be. Sure; unsubsidized options will still exist, but why not be rewarded for wanting to support what we like? This generation moreso than any other generation is so dedicated to the things they buy & have such a strong identity to it. Adsense would automatically take care of all this advertising for you. As you go through out your day buying things; the amount of adspace on the adsupported items that you have will continue to change. The ads will grow larger or smaller based on the places you choose to buy from. For instance; I'd have Dutch Brothers, Newegg, Chicken Bonz, Walmart, AMD, NCSoft, Blizzard...whoever. There could be an option to control which ads you want when. Based on how large the ads are, how long you have them for, & the ad penetration based on location would dictate how much money you'd get from those companies you support. They would have guaranteed advertisement. Local & Big businesses would both benefit from this kind of advertisment. This generation more than any others would be the most accepting of these concepts. The idea of actually getting paid to support who and what you already support would be an instant fad. Watering the concept down even more would reveal the best selling point they could develop for this ad campaign. "We'll pay you to buy whatever you want." Living in a capatilist society; this is the best way for things to turn out. It would even give those who are destitute a job & purpose. It would eliminate the need for government intervention for the poor and needy because all they would need to do to earn a buck is find a place with a bunch of people and sport their ads. They already do this anyway; so it would not be inconvenient. I'm ready for this ad supported revolution to begin now & I can't think of a better company to lead the way than our beloved "Android Overlords" (Google).
